In general, Madrid´s weather can be described as a continental Mediterranean climate, which in practice means hot and dry summers, cold and crisp winters, and rather low humidity throughout the year.
The climate of the city is also influenced by Sierra de Guadarrama, a mountain range located 70km northwest of Madrid.
The weather you can expect during the Congress is mild and gradually warming. Average highs range from 12°C (54°F) in March to 22°C (72°F) in May.
April tends to be the wettest month of the year.
